Reference News Network reported on September 18 that according to Reuters reported on September 17, Iraqi security department sources said that Turkey launched a drone attack in northern Iraq on the 17th, killing three armed members of the Sinjar resistance group associated with the Kurdistan Workers' Party.

Two sources told reporters that three armed men were sitting in a car when the drone attacked.

Turkey has long been fighting armed groups such as the Kurdistan Workers' Party, the Sinjar Resistance Group and the Syrian Kurdish People's Protection Units in Iraq and Syria. Ankara considers these groups to be terrorist.

Turkey, which regularly conducts airstrikes in northern Iraq and maintains dozens of military posts on Iraqi soil, has stepped up drone strikes in recent days, gradually moving closer to urban areas and major roads. (Compiled/Tu)
